It's time to get control of the
National Debt

The National Debt is reaching crisis levels.

It's no mystery as to why it is happening: we have

had a Congress for too long that is ruled by the wealthy elites who keep getting richer and richer while America goes deeper into debt.  Politicians from both parties are to blame for this problem.  Regardless, its time to get it done.

The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), passed into law by Trump and Downing has been an absolute disaster for the National Debt.  This chart shows how the OBBB is going to blow up the debt, while cutting benefits for the lower and middle class.

This chart shows where deficits are headed in the near-term as a result of the OBBB.

If we look at the history of debt development since the Eisenhower Administration, we see annual deficits year after year, with the worst happening during Bush and Trump Administrations.

The solution to the Debt Crisis, as proposed by billionaire investor and economist Ray Dalio, is to keep annual deficit spending to no greater than 3%.  This chart outlines how the National Deficit will come into a more manageable range over time if we do that.

The way we do this is to raise revenue on the wealthy, corporations, and cut into bloated areas of our National Budget (such as the defense industry spending).  History shows that this will not have a negative impact on Gross Domestic Product-indeed, some of the greatest period of economic growth over the past 60 years, came during the Eisenhower and Clinton Adminstrations- both times when we saw  equitable tax rates on corporations and the wealthy.

First, check out this chart below.  It shows that corporate taxes were very high in the 1950's, dipped very low in the mid 1980's, and then came back up, peaking in the late 1990's.

This chart below, shows very strong GDP performance in the 1950's, a brief spike in the mid 1980's, then the solid, sustained growth from the 1990's until the Bush tax cuts of the early 2000's.

This graph is a closer snap shot of the 1990's to 2024 period. Againk, the strongest GDP growth came during the mid to late 1990's when we had equitable and fair tax rates on corporations and higher earners.

This chart shows soaring corporate profits, and declining federal revenue from corporate profits--there is plenty of cash in corporate America which can be used to work on the debt.

The bottom line is that we can solve this problem, we just have to have the will to do it.  We need to have regular people in Congress who are not slaves to the ruling wealthy elite, and who are willing to restore fiscal sanity to the Nation.
