Workers' Rights

I fully support the rights of workers to unionize.

As I mentioned in my post on affordability, one

of the things that we need to do to make life more

affordable in America is to raise wages.  One way

to do that is to increase union ranks.  Today,

the estimates are that about 6% of workers belong to a union; in the 1950's, it was closer to 30%.

We also need to look at increasing the minimum wage for large-scale employers such as Walmart and Amazon.  For smaller to mid-size operations, I want to see us use wage subsidies.

I also oppose right to work legislation, in any form.
